While the gold iPhone seems to have staying power, rose gold jewelry has been having a major moment as of late, and it looks like tech seems to finally be hopping on the train. According to rumors we’ve seen circulating the Internet, the next iPhone may be offered in a rose gold color way. If history serves as a guide, the new phone will come out around September or October of this year, and will presumably called the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S plus.
With the recent release of the Apple Watch in rose gold, this prediction doesn’t sound too far-fetched. However the rose gold Apple Watch is a little (ok, a lot) out of our budget, as it will set you back $17,000 (nbd). So we’re hoping that Apple ends up using anodized aluminum, which is what the current gold iPhone is made of, and will make the phone significantly more affordable.
If a rose-hued iPhone doesn’t appeal to you, perhaps the phone’s new (surmised) specs will. AppleInsider is also predicting a camera with more megapixels, a more scratch-resistant screen and a display that boasts the same Force Touch technology seen in the Apple Watch. But as with all Apple rumors, we just can’t be sure until they do the big reveal themselves, so we’ll have to wait and see!
