How IZEA Works
Upon landing on IZEA’s homepage, you’ll choose if you’re a marketer (looking for influencers), or a creator (i.e. bloggers or Instagrammers). Simply pick one and then sign up by filling out your information.
Next, there are three plans that you can choose from. All three are very affordable and offer great features. Just choose what you think is best for you; you can start out on the free version and move up the more you use it.
Your sidebar has three pages. The sponsorship page is your dashboard that displays available opportunities, bids, and direct offers.
When navigating your dashboard, you’ll notice what’s called a ‘bid.’ Basically, when you see a listed opportunity you like, you can pitch to the company what you would charge them (you can’t bid more than the maximum they would offer) and write a short reason for why they should accept your offer. Your content tab is exactly what it sounds like: your content. There, you can see the posts that are ready to go out, your bid negotiations, drafts for posts, and issues with certain offers. You are also able to see pending posts, completed posts, and canceled posts. It’s very convenient that it’s all on one page.
The ContentAmp tab allows you to see current offers you can choose from. It tells you when it expires, the budget, and potential earnings. You can decline it if you find it’s not suitable to your following.
If you go to your account profile, you can add a photo of yourself, a bio to appeal to companies, demographics of your social media accounts, topics you like (this allows the app to generate matches), experience, and any gear you have (this is especially important if you’re a photographer or videographer). You want to take your time on this part because companies will go through it to make sure you are a good match.
