App Review: The Glam App

In this day and age, we can get almost anything delivered. Whether it’s piping hot pizza, water jugs for the office, a week of vegan groceries, or your favorite Chipotle burrito, modern companies thrive when based on convenience. For the most part, delivery services have been confined to the food industry—until now!

Creators Joey Maalouf and Cara Santana have essentially brought Hollywood glitz and glamour to the doorsteps of its app users. With its genius concept of beauty on demand, The Glam App allows users to request anything from makeup, hair, and nail services and within an hour, have their stylist show up at their door!

The Glam App creators know freedom of selection is crucial when it comes to getting exactly what you want in the beauty industry, which is why users can handpick stylists based on experience level and price. Stylists range from a year of experience (BSG), 2-5 years of experience (JRS), and 5 or more years of experience (VIP). By having the ability to choose your stylist and price range, users are able to find a customized option that works perfectly for their style and budget.

On June 10th, the Bloguettes were invited to attend The Glam App’s Phoenix launch party at one of our favorite local spots, The Henry.

Drinks and bites were generously provided by The Henry kitchen. Fresh guacamole, grilled shrimp, heirloom tomato toast, and warm kale & roasted garlic dip were definitely a hit among the guests.

Mini hair, makeup, and nail stations were set up around the patio where attendees could get glammed up for free! We jumped at the chance to be pampered (obviously). During the event, our social media coordinator and executive assistant got their luscious locks curled while our assistant editor, Shanna, got her makeup done.

Throughout the course of the night, bloggers and business owners alike showed up to mingle, eat, get makeovers, and shake hands with the creator, Joey Maalouf. Overall, it was a charming evening under the Arizona sunset and we couldn’t have been more thrilled to attend!

The Glam App currently operates in Los Angeles, Orange County, Dallas, Las Vegas, New York City and Phoenix, however, will be doing a US tour to expand their reach to different cities. We expect great things from The Glam App and can’t wait to see where it ends up!
