On February 22-24, the B-team traveled to Sedona, AZ for our company retreat! We had the opportunity to stay at L’Auberge de Sedona, a beautiful luxury resort! While we were there, we stayed busy doing brand photography for the hotel and capturing all of the many things to do on the amazing property (trust me, there are a ton)!
Read along as we reflect on our amazing 3-day stay!
The team met at the office bright and early the morning of the 22nd, and we piled in our cars and were off! We spent the 2-hour drive chatting, listening to some tunes, and snacking on gummy worms and sweet potato chips (courtesy of Reagan, our Marketing Assistant)!
We arrived at L’Auberge a bit earlier than expected, and were given a warm welcome by the hotel staff and our amazing tour guide, Megan! She gave us a quick tour of the property, and we got right to work taking photos by the creek!
After taking some photos, we were given keys to our rooms! Half of the team stayed at the Creekhouse, located at the heart of the property with 5 guestrooms, a spacious common area, and incredible deck that looks out to the creek! The rest of the girls stayed at the beautiful Creekside and Vista Cottages. After settling in our rooms, it was time for lunch! The amazing L’Auberge staff prepared lunch for us and we enjoyed it on the Creekhouse deck.
Right after lunch, it was time to get to business! The team split up into groups and set out to do different activities around the hotel. Some of us headed to get facials at the spa, some of us got massages by the creek, and the rest headed to do ‘forest bathing.’ If you don’t know what forest bathing is (we didn’t at first either!), it’s a Japanese practice focused on spending time in nature. This has been shown to decrease stress, improve vitality, and enhance creativity. Well, there’s no better place to do this than at the beautiful L’Auberge creek bank!
Next, it was time to watch the breathtaking Sedona sunset! We got ready for dinner and headed up to the deck to watch the sun set behind the beautiful red rock (and of course, take some photos!). We then headed back to our deck to enjoy an amazing dinner. I think we could all agree that we had some of the best mashed potatoes ever that night! After playing a rousing round of Catchphrase at the Creekhouse, it was time to get some shut-eye to prepare for the next day!
Day 2 got off to an early start with breakfast at the Creekhouse deck! Yet again, this was another amazing meal made by the L’Auberge staff (the french toast was our fave!). After eating, we all headed to the Etch deck to take some cute breakfast photos!
After getting our exercise in, it was time to head to our next activity! We split up into groups again, and some of us went to take some photos of the beautiful Sedona red rocks and the rest of us went on a wine tour! The tour was amazing, and we loved getting a behind-the-scenes look at how wine is made at Page Springs Cellars!
As the sun went down on this amazing, fun-filled day, we all came together for our last team dinner at 89Agave Cantina! We chatted, laughed, and enjoyed amazing Mexican cuisine!
On day 3, we got an early start and enjoyed breakfast in bed (while taking photos, of course!). We got some cute shots in our PJs, fuzzy socks, and slippers! We then spent our last few hours in Sedona taking hotel property shots at the pool, outside the Creekhouse, and feeding the ducks by the creek!
Time really does fly when you’re having fun! We were so sad to go, but we had such an amazing time at L’Auberge! We are so thankful to have had the opportunity to stay on the beautiful property and explore Sedona. The L’Auberge staff was incredible, and they played such a big role in making our trip so great!
