Work looks different for everyone–some people spend their days in the office, some are out on the field and others are on the go all day long! So, Facebook wanted to create a feature that caters to every kind of working professional. The overall goal of Workplace is to give coworkers to connect!

Think of Workplace as Facebook with added benefits for your 9-5. FB features like your News Feed, group chats, Live, Reactions, Search and Trending Posts can all be used to make your workplace communication a whole lot easier. For example, you can chat with a coworker who’s back at the office in real-time, or tune into your CEO’s presentation with Facebook Live.

In addition to these basic features, Workplace also offers features unique to the platform, like a dashboard with analytics and integrations with a single sign-on, along with identity providers that make it easy for companies to integrate Workplace with their existing IT systems.

Multi-Company Groups

Facebook also announced that they’re launching multi-company groups, which are shared spaces that allow employees from different organizations to work together. This allows you to collaborate in a convenient and safe way.

The Fine Print
