We got there a few days early and made camp at the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel! We were immediately taken with the Chicago boutique’s ‘moody’ appeal & their ability to take an old 1890’s monument and transform it into a perfect blend of old school feel with new world style! We dropped off all our belongings, changed into warm clothes (we were dressed in AZ attire), & of course, plopped ourselves onto the bed for a little break!
After we explored the hotel for a bit, we headed to Heritage Bicycles for a little Coffee with Bloguettes session! We talked about branding, the Bloguettes business, took pictures with all the lovely ladies who attended and even held an impromptu photo styling session!
After a good night’s rest, we made our way first thing Saturday morning to our gorgeous venue at Enerspace! The wide windows and rustic brick walls made for a super photogenic and open space!
Classic Party Rentals not only came through with silverware for our Influencer Brunch early October, but once again, came to our rescue with tables for Chicago! Florals by The Foxglove Studio were carefully scattered across the room and brought a rosy feeling to the space with its dusty pink, light peach, and red velvet colored flowers! And can we just say, their floral wall was to die for!
Lil Epic Event Design came to impress with their flower wall consisting of gorgeous metallic paper blooms. The backdrop gave off an ethereal vibe in every picture taken in front of it!
As our eager students filed in, they grabbed lemon vanilla & chocolate peanut butter Luna Bars for energy and we dove right into our lessons for the day!
Co-founder Danielle Moss from The Everygirl, came in and spent Saturday afternoon with our students. You know how some people sugarcoat and candy up their journey to success? Danielle didn’t do that. She took a very honest approach to her story and talked about her health and personal life and how she learned to find balance amidst the chaos.
After Danielle graciously took the time to talk with each of our students, we broke for lunch by Bang Bang Pie & Biscuits! Warm biscuits and gravy, collard greens, salad, & pie filled up & warmed our stomachs for the rest of the day. Red velvet cupcakes from Sugar Bliss Cake Boutique was the cherry, or shall we say, cupcake, on top!
At the end of the day, our Chicago chickadees left with black Small Glow tote bags that say, “Set goal, Smash, Repeat” (quite fitting after our workshop). Inside, our girls were treated to earrings from Kendra Scott, Dixie & Twine ‘Megababe’ banners, B. Alli necklaces, Eva NYC mini dry shampoo bottles, cactus prints and cards from Madz Designs, along with brown sugar & fig candles from Faithful Scents!
We ended the two-day branding weekend with huge smiles and new connections all across the US (and some in Canada)! A massive thank you to all our sponsors and to all our new friends, thanks so much for hanging out with us!
