Check Your Numbers

Before you delve into the world of social media influencing, you gotta check your numbers first! Though there is no “rule” for how many followers you need, you should expect brands to want you to have 5,000+ followers and consistently strong likes and comments on your posts. It is also very beneficial for you to have a clear niche for yourself or your brand. Whether you post about affordable fashion, colorful sweets, or winter sports, make your niche noticeable!

Get Your Blog Going

If you don’t already have a blog, now is the time to get one started. Your blog, if set up properly and updated regularly, can become an amazing source of new followers. Brands love social influencers who have a strong blog (or YouTube channel) to add exposure to their paid partnership. To use your blog as a platform for influencing, you’ll need to have a consistent number of monthly readers who come to your site. To increase readership, share all your blogs across social media and collaborate with other bloggers!

Read Blogs In Your Niche

One of the best ways to gain an expertise in your niche is to see what other people are posting about too. Bookmark a few of your favorite blogs in your niche and make it a goal to retweet, comment, or somehow engage with them once a week. Your followers will appreciate that you are active supporters of other bloggers who are interested in the same things they are!

If you aren’t seeing as many brands approach you as you’d like, you can sign up for a platform designed specifically to match brands with influencers. Though there are a ton of platforms out there that can do this, we recommend trying out one of these!

Whenever you complete a collaboration, the money can easily be connected to your PayPal account.

    Insta Brand: In order to join this site, you must have over 10,000 followers and over 1,000 likes per post. Though this may sound like a lot, it helps to attract a lot of partnerships with larger brands and keeps the platform more exclusive.
