We’ve been dying to host an Instagram-focused workshop for a while now, and about two weeks ago, we did just that with our Instagram Summer Camp! We partnered with The Saguaro (one of the most Instagram-able spots in town), recruited an all-star team of camp directors to help out, packed it full of Instagram enthusiasts and took a lot (we mean a LOT) of pictures. This was our biggest event yet (over 90 campers and 10 camp directors), so it goes without saying that we needed all hands on deck for this one. We were fortunate enough to have Hannah Minkner of Minkmade (who just so happens to be one of our favorite photographers!) on location to capture images throughout the day. Here are a few of the highlights if you’d like to take a look, and if you still want more, head over to our gallery or search #bloguettesinstacamp on Instagram!
Have you seen a more photogenic hotel? The Saguaro was really the perfect backdrop for an event like this.

It ain’t summer camp without backpacks, right? Thanks to Ninth & Knox, each camper received a backpack full of goodies when they checked in! Backpacks included everything from discount code cards for our all-time favorite photo editing app Mextures to Pura Vida bracelets to Instagram Summer Camp waterbottles from BC Graphics!
Early campers got to snag raw organic cold-pressed juice from Juice Core! Talk about starting the morning off right!
Campers were organized into one of five groups: Rising Eagles, Pathfinders, Blazing Chiefs, Wild Bulls, & Shadowhawks! Thanks to Jar of Buttons, each camper received a pin with their group logo & name!
Once our campers were separated into their groups, they rotated through each of our five stations. Our lifestyle station was all about spotting those ‘gram-able moments in real life and was taught by two of our most snap-happy Bloguettes–Gabi and Sakura!

The product styling station gave our campers the opportunity to flaunt their flat lay skills and learn how to style nearly any and everything. We were super fortunate to have so many sponsors let us borrow their products to practice with. Ryan Neal Cordwell and Constance Higley headed up product styling, and shared all their insider tips and tricks with campers!

When campers weren’t practicing hands-on techniques, they were at our branding station! The branding station was all about discovering your Instagram style and creating a cohesive brand for your business or blog, and was led by our go-to girls, Candace and Lorena!
How awesome is this glamping setup from our friends at Stout Tent? It was the perfect place for campers to kick back, relax, and snap pictures in their down time. Dusty Lilacs helped set the scene with some of their vintage props while Tremaine Ranch added real tree stumps to pull the whole look together!

Our sponsor, Ooh La La Booths, made sure that we didn’t only take phone pics! They set us up with an awesome photo booth and provided printed copies for campers throughout the day!
Lunch was provided by Distrito, which serves up Mexican food staples, right inside The Saguaro!
It was a full day for our campers (7 hours total!), so staying fueled was imperative! Snacks were provided by our sponsors Suja Juice, Luna Bar and Justin’s.

On their break, campers used the self-sticking Podo camera! No need for selfie sticks!

In addition to teaching product styling, Constance also shared her expertise in food styling with our campers during their lunch hour.
When it came to finding camp directors to lead our portrait and landscape station, we knew we had to get DonJay and Will Fryar. They’re two of our favorite Instagrammers, and their images always leave us wanting more, so we knew they’d impart some of that know-how onto our campers!

Thanks to The Saguaro, our directors, and of course, our campers for making the day such a success! We had so much fun meeting other Instagram-lovers like ourselves, and sharing our knowledge!
