Say hello to our Creative Assistant, Brimley! She started as a Spring 2016 intern and because her work ethic and creative masterpieces were so amazing, we just had to bring her on! Get to know our hand lettering guru/braid goddess/Southern belle!
What do you love most about working at Bloguettes?
I love the creative atmosphere that is in the office. I have a lot of freedom when I design which makes it fun to create new content. I also enjoy the girls I work with. Everyone is smart, has great ideas, and wants the best for the company.
Name 3 things you need to be successful in your job position.
To be successful in my job, you need to be knowledgeable in the Adobe Creative Cloud programs (i.e. Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom) and know the Bloguettes brand. Plus, I am always looking for creative inspiration so I can bring a new perspective to the Bloguettes aesthetic.
Finish this sentence: The motto of my life is…
Be kind. You never know when someone is fighting a hard battle.
What do you like to do in your free time?
In my free time, I love to hand letter, put content together for my blog, read, and hang out with my family.
How would you describe your personal style?
I would say my personal style is pretty minimal and classic but I love to incorporate color.
What are your 3 favorite emojis and why?
- Heart Eyes – This emoji perfectly explains how I feel 90% of the time.
- Two Hands Raised – I call that my “Holla” emoji and I love to use it when things just work out.
- Monkey Covering Eyes – I always say or do stupid things so I feel like using this emoji helps distract from the embarrassment I just caused myself.
Where’s your favorite place to take an out-of-town guest?
There is a little Mexican restaurant called Tia Rosa’s in Mesa that is hands down my favorite place to eat! I feel like it’s my duty to show my out-of-towners what Mexican food is all about!
If you could have dinner with anyone (dead or alive), who would it be with & what would you eat?
I am fascinated with Princess Kate. We would eat her favorite meal (because I would LOVE to know what that is) and I would pick her brain on topics from how she stays so fit to what it’s really like to be the Duchess of Cambridge.
Choose a unique item from your purse and explain why you carry it around.
I always carry around a pen & pad of paper in my purse. You never know when you’ll need to take down some notes…or doodle for a couple minutes if you find yourself stuck in a boring situation 😉
Name something on your bucket list.
Something I have always dreamed of doing is living abroad for a year or so with my little family. I would love for my kids to experience new cultures and new places outside of the United States.
