Madi was our intern for two semesters and we couldn’t get enough of her sunny spirit & hard work ethic! We’re so happy to say she’s now a part of Bloguettes! As our Events Assistant, she will be heavily involved in planning our events and will also dabble in social media! Get to know Madi by reading her interview below!

What do you love most about working at Bloguettes?

I love being able to do exactly what I’ve always wanted to do! Working in events and dipping into social media are two of my passions and I feel so grateful that I get to work in a company that allows me to do both and be creative and trendy at the same time haha! I also enjoy all the people I get to work with. Each girl at the office have a special unique set of skills and I learn something new from each of them everyday! It’s just a great office to be at and I feel very fortunate to work here 🙂

Name 3 things you need to be successful in your job position.

You need to be optimistic, proactive, and passionate!

Optimistic: You need to stay optimistic during every event because as the planner, people rely on you for so many things and staying positive during conflicts will keep your attendees positive as well.

Proactive: This is very important with working with all your vendors and sponsors for events. Being enthusiastic and proactive during communication before, during, and post your event is very important.

Passionate: You need to love what you do! Going into a full day at work and not being happy about your job will lead you down the wrong path…so you must be passionate about every event you work on!

Finish this sentence: The motto of my life is…

Take advantage of every opportunity! There are so many times in life where we just want to go home and lay down but going outside and taking on new adventures is so important and plentiful for your life!

What do you like to do in your free time?

I love hitting up local restaurants and coffee shops, getting an awesome deal at the mall, and spending quality time with my family and friends!

How would you describe your personal style?

My personal style is very fashion forward with neutral tones! I love that California Free People girl with a little bit of that New York edge. My go-to outfit would be a cute flowy white top tucked into some Rag and Bone skinny jeans with my favorite Jeffrey Campbell flats and army green jacket. 🙂

What are your 3 favorite emojis and why?

The heart with the arrow through it because it’s perfect to use anytime you love what someone says and also because my sorority Pi Beta Phi’s symbol is an arrow!

The coffee cup because one of my favorite things to do is go to a hip coffee shop. I love getting that latte pic for Insta so the cup of joe is always a popular one for me!

The dark moon because I always use that in awkward situations! Lol! The face the moon makes  is just too funny!

Where’s your favorite place to take an out-of-town guest?

My family is from California so whenever they visit I love to take them to The Coffee Shop in Gilbert, AZ! Their breakfastwiches are delicious and coffee drinks are scrumdiddlyumptious! It’s located on the cutest farm in Agritopia as well!

Have you ever met a celebrity? Who was it & did you keep your cool?

Yes! I have met a few celebs who I definitely tried to keep my cool around, but meeting Justin Bieber and Gigi Hadid, I probably looked totally starstruck because I have total Bieber Fever and I love Gigi Hadid’s style!

What is the best piece of advice you’ve gotten?

The best advice I’ve gotten is to take a moment and be grateful for the life we have. Our Earth is so precious and we are so lucky to live on this planet that has been created for us and we shouldn’t take anything for granted!

Name something you’ve always wanted to do, but have yet to conquer.

I would travel to Paris, Italy, and Greece! I think Europe has such beautiful cities and I would love to travel everywhere around Europe one day!
