Meet The Bloguettes: Sakura

With her long locks & perfect smile, it’s not hard to spot our co-founder, Sakura, amidst a crowd! When she’s not busy playing with her lovable pup, Winston, or finding new ways to grow Bloguettes, she’s working on her other two ventures–Sorority Secrets & her personal lifestyle and design blog, Something Sakura. Her love for helping others be their own boss is the whole reason she teaches our two-day branding workshops!

What do you love most about working at Bloguettes?
It’s so hard to confine it to one thing, but I would have to say the people that I work with.  I love how dedicated and passionate everyone is to the company and it motivates me everyday to just keep going!

Name 3 things you need to be successful in your job position.
Drive, passion, and positivity.

Finish this sentence: The motto of my life is…
Do what I love, while living a healthy & happy life.

What do you like to do in your free time?
I love to workout, catch up on my favorite blogs, clean & organize! (so boring lol!)

How would you describe your personal style?
Hmm… this is a tough one for me because I just love so many different styles, but I guess overall pretty simple!  You can find me around the office typically dressed pretty conservative & girly wearing a laced dress, but on Fridays and the weekends I could be wearing something totally casual with Converse! It really just varies on my mood!

What are your 3 favorite emojis and why?

  1. The two hands up – It’s probably my top 1 because it says so much in one emoji and it’s positive & happy!
  2. Heart eyes face – sometimes you just want to give someone a compliment, but “cute!” or “OMG! Love!” is boring and over done. I like to use the heart eyes face because it’s cute and has a really big smile that shows my excitement!
  3. One hand up (like a stop sign) – I like to use it when I’m annoyed or upset, but still trying to be funny. Telling them to stop or simply “talk to the hand.” I only use it for close friends, family, and my boyfriend. Hah.

Where’s your favorite place to take an out-of-town guest?
I really love the vibe and atmosphere of La Grande Orange—they have great food, it’s cute, and they also sell adorable stuff!

Do you have any hidden talents?
I like to dance—a lot. Just gotta be to the right kind of music!

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a dolphin trainer…duh.

What’s the bravest thing you’ve ever done?
I think getting my own place was probably the scariest thing for me.  I’m someone that likes to save a lot and be financially secure, so for me to decide to get my own place and live on my own was kind of scary for me. It was also done in a very short time, so that made it even scarier! I’ve learned a lot from it and I’m glad to have experienced it!
