Music Motivation to Get You Through the Week

Meet one of our Editorial Interns, Courtney! You can find her brainstorming story ideas while sipping on an iced latte and jamming out to some good music. Since she’s made time to see over 100 artists live in concert all while being a full-time student, a part-time barista and a part-time intern, she knows how important music can be in the workplace to keep you going ’till Friday. Keep reading for her go-to list of songs for hours of motivational music!

We’ve all been there. It’s Wednesday and it just seems as if the week should be over already. No matter how much coffee you drink or how on-point your outfit is, you can’t seem to shake the hump-day funk. There’s one final thing to try if you haven’t already: listen to some tunes that can help you groove into the rest of the week!

If the music you’ve already been listening to isn’t cutting it, don’t worry! We’ve got you covered. Here is a breakdown of a motivational playlist plus a couple of other options for you to try and break through that mid-week struggle.

MOTIVATIONAL PLAYLIST: With just over 7 hours of music, this combination of R&B, pop-punk and some bops (yes, One Direction is on here more than once) is sure to get you moving and shaking into Thursday and Friday.

CONFIDENCE BOOST: This list includes some upbeat tunes from The Weeknd, Major Lazer, Miley Cyrus and also some songs that are perfect to sing along to (Halo by Queen Bey and Royals by Lorde just to name a couple).

THE A-LIST POP: The title tells all…this playlist is all the most recent pop releases with music from Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, Halsey and more. The playlist is updated regularly by Apple, so you won’t have the same songs week-to-week.

Our last recommendation is for those of you who need music in the background that will help you focus. Since the week isn’t over just yet, you might need some classical music to get you in the zone.
