Cue the horror movie style screams. The end of summer is in sight. While we aren’t ready to relish our cutoffs and stow our sandals away quite yet, we are ready for Labor Day weekend. Though some regard the three-day weekend as the unofficial end of summer, we’re looking at the glass half full and viewing it as a final hurrah–one last opportunity for a spontaneous weekend escape before fall and the holiday season hits. Whether you’ve been planning this weekend out for months or planning something more last minute, a good getaway bag is a necessity. A few weeks ago we shared our favorite travel items for bloggers on the go, and today, we’re showing you some of our favorite bags in which to stow it all.

Band.do The Getaway Duffle Bag

We’re loving this bag for two reasons: 1. It’s big enough to fit everything you need for a long weekend trip and 2. The candy-striped canvas exterior is giving us serious slumber party vibes. Perfect for a girls’ getaway, ban.do suggests you fill this one with fuzzy slippers and face masks–count us in.

Sole Society Landin Weekender

In vegan leather with chic tassel detailing, this bag is one that feels luxe but comes at a super affordable price. Perfect for any fashion blogger, as it’s decidedly on-trend and so Insta-worthy. The detachable strap makes it easy to sling over your shoulder if you’re headed to the airport, whereas the soft sides make it road trip ready and easy to stuff into a car where trunk space is limited.

Kate Spade New Yorker Carry-On

This one’s definitely more of a splurge, but we’re big Kate Spade fans, and can totally speak to the quality of her stuff. We’re loving how quirky this roller bag is with its old-school accents, and are huge fans of the extending handle and wheels. With our iPhones always in hand, carrying a big, bulky bag isn’t always our first choice, so something we can roll around is a plus!

BAGGU Weekend Bag

You just can’t go wrong with a classic tote-style bag. This one fits perfectly into those overhead bins and under the seat in front of you. And when you’re done taking it on vacay, it doubles up as a gym bag, dry cleaning carrier, or anything else you might need it for!

Herschel Supply Co. Little America Backpack

You heard it here first–backpacks are back! Somewhere between 5th grade and now, we got the silly idea in our heads that backpacks were to be to and from school and nowhere else. But having a hands-free option is awesome, and one that looks this good is even better! If you aren’t already convinced, it comes in about a million colors, so there’s something for everyone!
